NDIS Cleaning Services for Melbourne Participants
For NDIS participants across Melbourne, maintaining a clean and hygienic home isn’t just about appearances — it directly affects your health, your sense of dignity, and your ability to live independently. When a disability makes routine cleaning difficult or impossible, that support becomes a genuine need.
United Home Services provides NDIS cleaning services for self-managed and plan-managed participants throughout Melbourne and its suburbs. Our local franchisees are consistent, familiar faces — not different contractors every visit — and we work directly with support coordinators and plan managers to keep everything simple and well-documented.

What Our NDIS Cleaning Covers:
- Assistance with Household Tasks — support with day-to-day domestic activities linked to your disability
- Kitchen cleaning — benches, stovetop, sink, appliance exteriors, and floor
- Bathroom and toilet cleaning for hygiene and infection control
- Vacuuming and mopping of all floor surfaces throughout the home
- Dusting of surfaces, skirting boards, blinds, and ceiling fans
- Bedroom cleaning including linen changes where required
- Living area tidying, wiping surfaces, and general home maintenance
- Laundry support — washing, drying, and folding
All cleaning is tailored to your individual support plan. We work around your home, your routines, and your preferences — not a generic checklist.

How NDIS Funding Works for Cleaning Services
Which NDIS category covers cleaning?
Cleaning is funded under Core Supports — Assistance with Daily Living. To be approved, the cleaning must be linked to your disability — meaning your condition prevents you from doing it yourself and no other household member can reasonably provide it.
Who can use our NDIS cleaning service?
We work with self-managed and plan-managed participants. NDIA-managed participants are also welcome. If your plan is NDIA-managed, your local United Home Services franchisee can still provide the services you need. Where required, payments are processed through United Home Services Victoria’s NDIS registration, ensuring a simple and seamless experience.
How does invoicing and claiming work?
We invoice at an hourly rate consistent with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. All invoices are clearly itemised with service date, hours, and rate — exactly what plan managers need to process claims without delays or back-and-forth.
NDIS Support Item Numbers for Cleaning
When claiming through your NDIS plan, the following support items apply to our cleaning services under the Assistance with Daily Living category:
| Support Item Number | Support Item Name | Unit | National Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01_004_0107_1_1 | Assistance with Personal Domestic Activities | Hour | $61.16 |
| 01_020_0120_1_1 | House Cleaning and Other Household Activities | Hour | $60.10 |
Rates are set by the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and are reviewed annually. Current rates apply from 1 July 2026. Your plan manager will confirm the applicable line item for your plan.
